CollegeHumor.com has just released "Street Fighter: The Later Years - Part II". We created two visual effects for this episode: Ryu's hadouken and Dhalsim's stretching legs. A behind-the-scenes video is in the works. We also stretched Dhalsim's arm a while ago in "Street Fighter: The Later Years - Part I".

We're faster now! Our web host provider was basically lousy, so we hired a new one. Now our website is up and we should experience no more down time. We've actually noticed somewhat faster performance! Nothing about the website has changed, so there's no need to update your bookmarks. Let us know if you notice any problems, although there shouldn't be any. Thanks for your patience while we solved that problem.

We created some cool visual effects for "Harvest," a horror film about revenge from beyond the grave. We replaced an actor's eyes with scarier ones, and added smoke and 3D fireflies to scenes.

We just added the "Calaveras" video, which shows lovely scenery in Calaveras County. The goal was to have a film look even though it was shot on video.

Today we're releasing new and improved versions of our Portfolio and Media Gallery. We made the videos larger and improved the navigation so things are easier to find, so check it out! There are also some new videos to see: an updated "Tuolumne" video and stuff from the short film "RUSHers."

We just received our new Canon XL-2 this morning! It's already being used on some special effects tests that we're not at liberty to discuss, and we love it. More info.

The 3D train we created for "The Prototype" has been accepted into the Lightwave 3D Gallery! Lightwave is the program we used to build the train, and we're thrilled they selected our work for display!

"Rushers" is so close to being done it's not even funny. We're waiting for this DVD duplication place to stop making very impressive mistakes. Sigh.

Today Dave and James grabbed some film gear and shot an opening title sequence for Invisible Engine Films' TV pilot. They supplied us with a really nice film stock and we did some fun things like slow and fast motion. Some day we'll show it to you.

James helped out our buddies over at Invisible Engine Films by being the Director of Cinematography for one of their short films. He also was forced to appear in a minor role in the movie. Watch the short "V-J Day."

"Czech Daze" has won both the Director's Award and the Cinematography Award at the Trenton Film Festival! I guess they don't give out awards for editing, huh Dave?

May 6

This was the second and final day of shooting video in Calaveras County. They heard about the Tuolumne County video we made to promote the area's shooting locations to Hollywood and wanted one for themselves. We'll put the video online when it's all done.

May 1

James spent his last day filming behind-the-scenes video today for an independent feature film being shot on high definition. We can't tell you the film's title until it's done, but James' video will appear as an Extra Feature on the film's DVD! The film already has distribution lined up for TV and video, so we'll be sure to tell you when it's all done!

Anne Moore, director of the charming documentary "Czech Daze," had some credits added to her film after being accepted into the Trenton Film Festival. Congratulations, Anne! Our buddy Glenn over at Hemanes Design also hooked her up with posters and postcards. David was also one of the editors on the film. "Crazy Charlie Wants Beer Barrel Polka!" (Inside joke. Watch the film.)

Today we finished the investor pitch DVD for "Izzy," a feature film written by Tara and Stephen Veneruso. Over the past two months, Dave and James edited eight video segments, provided footage, graphics, as well as designed, animated, and programmed the DVD interface. The DVD is being shown to producers and investors across the country in hopes of getting the film made. Coming soon are some cool video bits and pieces.

April 8

James finished the last visual effect for "The Harvest" in which one actor puts a cigarette out in someone's eye. Because the cigarette was not lit during filming, Dave and James filmed and composited several elements such as smoke and glowing ash to make the moment horrifyingly realistic. Awesome stuff from "The Harvest" coming soon.

You may have noticed a large gap in our news page. That's because we don't create a news item for a project until it's done. Well today we heard that the documentary "Czech Daze" that Dave edited has been accepted into the Trenton Film Festival! Woohoo!

March 4

Dave has been editing a short film called "Rushers" for some time now. Today was the final day of re-shoots for the film, and since we're also the Special Effects Supervisors we came along to make sure those effects were shot properly. We'll show them to you when they're finished.

James finished editing a music video for Most Chill Slackmob. The song "Duc 2 Ways" appears in the film "God's Waiting List." The video will be online soon.
