2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 2003 History
December 21 We produced yet another Christmas short! This one was for National Banana, a comedy site created by Jerry Zucker, who's known for his comedy movies "Airplane!" and the "Naked Gun" series. Watch "Hot Xmas Lights," which we edited and did most of the effects for. Awesome!

Also released today is a movie trailer for CollegeHumor.com. See "Million Dollar Babies" now and watch for our Visual Effects: titles, audience flashbulbs, punch-induced spittle and a 3D retainer!

December 19 We made several effects shots for a short at JoeyandDavid.com. Some people think it's offensive, so watch "A Simple Gift" now!

December 17 Ghostlight created two epic Visual Effects shots for "Claus," a rad Team Tiger Awesome short that pokes fun at movies like "300."

December 13 We added a sky, candle flames, tranq darts, and lightning to CollegeHumor's "Street Fighter: The Later Years - Part 7."

November 13 "Two Guys - Episode One" is featured on Funny or Die, and is super-highly rated! We shoot and edit the web series, which was created for Adam Ray TV. You can also watch Episode Two, and Episode Three. Here's a screenshot of the show on FunnyorDie.com.

November 8 We created Visual Effects for "24: The Unaired 1994 Pilot." This College Humor parody strips the popular Fox series of its modern technology by setting the show in 1994 - a world of Windows 3.1, pagers, pay phones, and dangerously loud dial-up modems. Ghostlight created the opening "24" logo and added computer graphics to the monitors, which were completely blank when filming.

October 31 See our Halloween costumes!

October 22 We made a digital "lights up" effect and "leg wipe" for the opening of College Humor's "Brohemian Rhapsody" - the fraternity version of Queen's legendary song. Watch "Brohemian Rhapsody" and beware the "mature" content.

October 19 Did you miss "Street Fighter: The Later Years"? Episode 5 contains a TON of our Visual Effects work, including new Hadoukens, and is quite possibly the funniest of the series.

October 16 Ghostlight does WHAT? A lot! See our wide range of creative filmmaking services put to use at Adam Ray TV! The new site is home to the insanity that is comedian Adam Ray's creative mind. Dave and James were the Cinematographers, Editors, and VFX Supervisors for almost every one of the site's films. James even created the website itself!

September 17 James shot 5 episodes of "Lifestyles of the Cheap and Shameless" in HD for Invisible Engine, Sprint, and CollegeHumor. The comedy series teaches college students how to save money.

September 14 3D hair was used in our latest visual effects for CollegeHumor's "Gummi Bears: The Movie" trailer.

September 7 Street Fighter has returned! Watch Part 4 at CollegeHumor and enjoy our two visual effects: a taxicab license plate and a flying inverted spinning helicopter splits kick!

August 30 "Ghostlight has handled every task we throw at them with utter professionalism, perfectionism, and imagination. They are an integral part of our process, one that I hope will continue for years to come." - Sam Reich - Director of Original Content, College Humor - Dutch West. Read more testimonials.

July 17 We won the Best New Pilot Award at the ITV Festival! We made the show with comedian Adam Ray called "Adam Ray TV." The episode will play for a bunch of TV executives and judges for a whole weekend, and is still eligible for other awards! We're totally stoked. Thanks to everyone who voted for us! If you haven't already, vote for us and help us win an Audience Choice Award! Read more.

June 11 We helped levitate a demonically possessed little girl in "What Revver Did 5," the final ad Invisible Engine Films made for Revver.com. James was the Cinematographer and Dave was Visual Effects Supervisor. We'll show you how we did the effects soon, but first you should watch the ad.

June 8 We created visual effects for CollegeHumor's hilariously offensive short "WHIT Radio." We placed the radio station's logo on taxi cabs and buses in several shots. Watch the short and check out our cool visual effect at the end. We'll show you how we did these shots soon!

June 1 James spent the day filming more beautiful scenery in Tuolumne County. The new footage will be used to update the existing Tuolumne video, which advertises the lovely locations for Hollywood movies. Behind the scenes photos are coming soon!

April 5 Out of more than 50 other films, "RUSHERS" won the Audience Award at the Method Fest film festival! Congratulations to director Joey Boukadakis and everyone who worked on the hilarious film! Dave edited the movie, and the numerous Visual Effects were done right here at Ghostlight! Here's a photo of Joey and Paul Boukadakis accepting the award.

April 1 "RUSHERS" screened at the Method Fest film festival today and was a big hit with the audience! It was selected from hundreds of submissions to the festival, hopefully due in part to Dave's editing and the Visual Effects we provided for the film. Congratulations to director Joey Boukadakis and everyone else who worked on the film! Here are a couple of photos from the event.

March 26 World premiere of "RUSHERS" this Sunday at the famous Method Fest film festival! The hilarious short directed by Joey Boukadakis features editing by David Codeglia and Visual Effects by Ghostlight. Here's some more info.

March 5 Now you can see how we created these 3D titles tracked into real environments shot with a hand-held camera for Branham High School. We used new 3D software, camera tracking software, and some stuff they used in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong.

February 25 This was James' last day of shooting an edu-tainment story in high definition on a cool Panasonic camera. He had fun using Cal Tech's lovely campus and lighting a variety of fun scenes. There should be some beautiful HD footage to add to our cinematography reel pretty soon! Thanks to Edwin the director, and all the actors for the good times!

February 15 Today James finished his third and final day of production at Branham High School in San Jose. Now he will edit his camera work into a 15-minute promotional video aimed at parents, students, and financiers. Dave will provide cool 3D titles, too! Thanks for the fun gig, Rich!

February 12 Some of James' camera work aired on TV tonight! It was featured in a news story about Chapman University on "Real Orange" on KOCE. Fellow alumnus Brenda Brkusic did the reporting. Good work, Brenda!

February 10 James attended the Chapman University premiere of their new film school with award-winning filmmaker and friend Brenda Brkusic, also an alumni. Things sure have improved there since they graduated! James ran camera as Brenda reported on the event for "Real Orange" on KOCE. It'll air on Monday. Here's a photo from the party.

February 9 For the past 3 weeks Dave has been on the set of Boogeyman 2 as the Visual Effects Supervisor. Now that filming is over, he'll soon begin making creepy effects for the film. He had fun filming with the guys who made horror films like The Grudge and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Thanks for hiring him!

February 5 Tonight James took a friend to a screening of Little Miss Sunshine, followed by a Q and A session with directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris as well as screenwriter Michael Arndt. James really enjoyed listening to their stories and advice, and especially chatting with them afterwards. What a treat!
